Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 June 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website meetcanada.org and all content, tools and features made available through it (collectively, the "Site"), operated by Meetcanada, an independent editorial team based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Definitions

  • "Site" means meetcanada.org and all of its pages, content and functionality.
  • "Meetcanada", "we", "us" means the editorial team that owns and operates the Site.
  • "User", "you" means any person who accesses or uses the Site.
  • "Operators" means the third-party tour and travel-experience providers featured, rated or linked from the Site.
  • "Content" means all text, ratings, reviews, images, articles, comparisons and other materials published on the Site.

3. What Meetcanada Provides

Meetcanada is an independent guide and comparison platform. We publish star ratings, verified traveler reviews, seasonal availability notes, difficulty levels, group-size options and indicative "price-from" figures for guided experiences across all thirteen Canadian provinces and territories. We also offer an interactive trip-planner quiz, regional guides and seasonal travel articles to help you choose experiences based on location, budget, season and activity preference.

The Site is an informational and comparison resource only. Meetcanada does not sell tours, process bookings, take payments or act as a travel agent. When you decide to book, you do so directly with the relevant Operator on its own website, under that Operator's terms and conditions. We do not provide a user account, login area or online checkout.

4. User Responsibilities

When you use the Site, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information when submitting our contact form, trip-request form or newsletter sign-up;
  • Use the Site only for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes;
  • Refrain from any misuse, including sending spam, attempting to gain unauthorized access, scraping or harvesting content at scale, introducing malware, or interfering with the Site's operation or security;
  • Comply with all applicable Canadian federal and provincial laws; and
  • Confirm that you are of the age of majority in your province or territory of residence, or that you have the consent of a parent or guardian, before submitting any personal information.

5. Affiliate Disclosure

Meetcanada operates as an affiliate publisher and may receive compensation from featured Operators and travel providers when you follow a link from the Site and complete a booking. Such compensation may affect the order in which listings appear, but it does not influence our editorial ratings, the substance of traveler reviews, or any safety warnings. We are committed to editorial independence, and our ratings are produced through verified bookings, traveler-review weighting, operator safety checks and seasonal re-verification, regardless of any commercial relationship.

6. Intellectual Property

All Content on the Site — including text, ratings, articles, photographs, graphics, the Meetcanada name and logo, and the overall design — is owned by or licensed to Meetcanada and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law, including the Copyright Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. C-42). You may view and share links to our Content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify or create derivative works from our Content without our prior written permission.

7. Accuracy of Information and No Guarantee

All Content is provided for informational purposes only and does not guarantee availability, pricing, schedules or specific travel outcomes. Tour details, prices, seasonal windows and operating conditions change frequently and are controlled by the Operators, not by Meetcanada. We strongly encourage you to verify all details — including price, availability, cancellation policies, safety requirements and entry conditions — directly with the Operator before booking or travelling. Travel in Canada's wilderness and remote regions carries inherent risks, and you are responsible for assessing your own suitability for any experience.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Site and its Content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Meetcanada does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Meetcanada shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on Content, your dealings with any Operator, or your participation in any tour or experience. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Canadian law.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site contains links to third-party websites and services, including Operator booking pages and external resources such as web font providers. These links are provided for your convenience. Meetcanada does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies or practices of any third-party website, and the inclusion of a link does not imply our endorsement. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms and privacy policy.

10. Force Majeure

Meetcanada shall not be held responsible for any failure or delay in the operation of the Site caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, wildfires, floods, war, civil unrest, epidemics or pandemics, power or internet outages, and technical failures of hosting or third-party infrastructure.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page and changing the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

12. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts located in Vancouver, British Columbia shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site, subject to any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you may have in your own jurisdiction.
